Aligning with the national vision, Jakarta aims to strengthen its role by being “Jakarta Competitive Global City” that internalised through the Jakarta Regional Long-Term Development (RPJPD) 2025-2045 proposal. The vision is to strengthen Jakarta’s position as a national economic centre and a global city that serves as a hub for trade and services including financial service as well as national, regional, and global business activities which are expected to solidify Jakarta’s position post-capital city relocation to IKN.
To support Jakarta’s vision as a Global City, Jakarta aims to develop four potential sectors namely health, tourism, infrastructure and urban development, as well as sustainability. As the largest metropolitan city in Indonesia with a large population and massive potential assets, Jakarta has a high chance in improving those sectors to elevate its Global City ranking. Therefore, optimizing assets and investment collaboration in health, tourism, sustainability, infrastructure and urban development is pivotal to accelerate development in Jakarta to be a better city for all.
