Non Revenue Water Project 2024

Project Overview

PAM JAYA and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are committed to reducing the level of non-revenue water (NRW) to 30% by 2030. District Metered Area (DMA) is required as an approach to control water losses and reduce NRW. DMA is a closed or isolated water service area within the distribution network equipped with measuring devices. This allows for the calculation of NRW obtained from the gap between the water supply and the water consumed by customers. Currently, PAM JAYA still uses the PA (permanent area) and PC (primary cell) systems, which have a larger area compared to the DMA and are not perfectly isolated, thus unable to control the amount of water distributed optimally.

The NRW Project Management Office proposes NRW reduction projects with an investment value of 981.7 billion Rupiah, in the form of the establishment of District Meter Areas (DMA) of 138 DMA and Rehabilitation of 658 Km Network Pipelines in 14 areas with NRW targets at the level of 30%. The project is expected to save water losses in the distribution network by 917 liters per second, as well as additional revenues of 140.5 billion per year.
