LoI signing between Swedfund and TransJakarta in Jakarta (5/11)

JAKARTA (6/11) - The Government of Sweden supports PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) bus electrification through Swedfund International AB which is a development finance institution under the Kingdom of Sweden.

This was implemented through a Letter of Intent (LoI) signed by President Director of Transjakarta, Yana Aditya, and Head of Swedfund Project Accelerator, Hakan Dahlfors, which was given to the Chief Executive Officer of Business Sweden, Jan Larsson, in Jakarta on Monday, December 5th 2022.

The Government of Sweden will realize this support through study provision to support capacity building and knowledge transfer regarding technical solutions.

Transjakarta’s Head of Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizaki Noor, stated that the study which is supported by The Government of Sweden will focus on the technical side of charging infrastructure development that are needed by electric buses.

“With the support of The Government of Sweden, this charging station study will strengthen Transjakarta in formulating the electrification of all fleets by 2030,” said Anang.

In 2022, Transjakarta together with Swedfund has determined the scope of collaboration cooperation on the technical support for public transport electrification in Jakarta. It is expected that this collaboration will start to be implemented in the first quarter of 2023.
