As the investment promotion agency of the Jakarta Provincial Government, Jakarta Investment Center (JIC) actively promotes and facilitates opportunities for both local and international investors. Furthermore, on May 21st, during the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Jakarta's regional-owned enterprise, Perumda Pal Jaya, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samsung E&A regarding a potential project for the Jakarta Sewerage System. Samsung E&A is a global EPC services leader company with experience in notable wastewater treatment projects in Yongin, South Korea, and Muharraq, Bahrain.

This MOU is the outcome of a series of meetings between relevant stakeholders since Samsung E&A expressed interest in investing in the Jakarta Sewerage System, and it outlines a comprehensive plan to improve environmental quality and provide new wastewater treatment solutions in Jakarta. By signing the MOU, Jakarta is showing its commitment to becoming a global city and a leader in sustainable development.
