JIF Summit 2026 opened with perspectives on Jakarta’s investment potential, urban development, and future growth.

The Opening Ceremony featured:

• Mr. Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Chairman of BKPM, who discussed investor confidence, regulatory certainty, infrastructure, talent, and future-oriented sectors.
• Mr. Pramono Anung Wibowo, Governor of Jakarta, who highlighted Jakarta’s strategic position as Indonesia’s economic and investment center, along with opportunities to support the city’s transformation.
• Mr. Heru Hermawanto, Head of Department for Investment & Integrated One Stop Services, Jakarta Provincial Government, who presented the JIF 2026 Event Report, including the festival’s programmes, strategic projects, thematic investment districts, and cross-sector collaboration.

In his Special Keynote Address, Mr. Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Chairman of BKPM, highlighted the factors shaping investment decisions today.

Investors are increasingly considering institutional stability, regulatory certainty, infrastructure quality, talent, trusted partnerships, and a clear long-term development vision.

Indonesia and Jakarta have opportunities to attract investment in future-oriented sectors, including digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and critical minerals.

With Jakarta serving as Indonesia’s economic center and financial gateway, strengthening the investment climate requires simpler licensing, greater certainty, and an environment that supports the realisation of strategic projects.

In his Welcoming Remarks, Mr. Pramono Anung Wibowo, Governor of Jakarta, highlighted Jakarta’s strategic position as a center of Indonesia’s economy and investment.

Jakarta continues to develop opportunities across housing, hospitality, commercial areas, transit-oriented development, industry and logistics, utilities, transportation, and waterfront development.

The city is also strengthening its infrastructure, public transportation, clean water access, waste management, education, and human development to support greater connectivity, productivity, and urban resilience.

Mr. Pramono invited investors and strategic partners to participate not only in individual projects, but also in Jakarta’s transformation into a more connected, sustainable, innovative, and competitive global city.

In the JIF 2026 Event Report, Mr. Heru Hermawanto, Head of Department for Investment & Integrated One Stop Services, Jakarta Provincial Government, highlighted the festival’s role as an annual investment and business forum initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Government to promote the city as an investment-friendly global city.

Carrying the theme “Advancing Today, Securing Tomorrow,” JIF 2026 presented three key development aspects through its pavilions: innovation, capital, and infrastructure.

This year, Jakarta promoted 37 ready-to-offer sustainable infrastructure projects across residential, hospitality, sport and recreation, industry and logistics, commercial, mixed-use transit-oriented development, utility, transportation, and waterfront development sectors.

The report also introduced thematic investment districts, including Ragunan Campground, Grogol Petamburan, and Kebon Jeruk, alongside the Ancol-JIS tourism corridor and integrated coastal developments.

The JIF 2026 series brought together government, investors, financial institutions, businesses, universities, development partners, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration for Jakarta’s future.
