Project Overview

Centralized Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD), hereinafter referred to as SPALD-T, is a management system carried out by draining domestic wastewater from sources collectively to the Centralized Treatment Sub-system to be treated before being discharged to surface water bodies. The project plan for the development of a centralized wastewater management system in zone 8 is part of the Master Plan for the Development of Domestic Wastewater Management Infrastructure and Facilities, which consists of 15 zones. JSS Zone 8 will serve 3 Districts namely Tanjung Priok, Koja, and Cilincing.

The JSS Zone 8 service plan will cover three Districts namely Tanjung Priok, Koja and Cilincing with 16 subdistricts in the administrative city area of North Jakarta. JSS Zone 8 is bordered by Jakarta Bay and Java Sea in the north and Bekasi City in the east.

The projection of domestic wastewater until 2045 that will be served by this sewer network is 80% while the remaining 20% still uses septic tanks. The total waste generated is projected to be 140,000 m3/day in 2030 and 160,000 m3/day in 2045.
