Investing in MITJ’s Vision for a More Integrated and Livable Jakarta

As Jakarta advances toward a more sustainable and integrated urban future, PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek (MITJ) emerges as a key driver of transformation through its vision for an integrated rail network and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). Formed as a joint venture between PT MRT Jakarta and PT Kereta Api Indonesia, MITJ is committed to enhancing mobility and strengthening urban connectivity across the Greater Jakarta area.

MITJ is proud to present three transformative projects that reflect its commitment to shaping Jakarta’s urban future. These initiatives highlight how strategic development can unlock new value across the city, enhance connectivity, support economic growth, and create more vibrant and inclusive urban environments. The first project is Intercity Point Jatibaru, located in Tanah Abang. This project integrates residential, hospitality, and commercial functions, combined with transit-oriented development features in the surrounding area. Strategically positioned at the new Tanah Abang Station, which is expected to serve up to 300,000 daily passengers, the project aims to create a new urban identity that supports a dynamic and walkable lifestyle.

The second project, Sudirman Station Revitalization, presents another compelling investment opportunity. As one of Jakarta’s busiest commuter hubs, located within the highly connected Dukuh Atas area, this project aims to transform the station into a commercialized transit centre equipped with retail spaces, branding rights, exhibition areas, and telecommunications infrastructure. With daily traffic exceeding 900,000 people, the transformation is designed not only to optimize passenger flow but also to unlock new revenue-generating opportunities for private partners.

The third project highlights MITJ’s focus on transforming underutilized urban infrastructure into active community assets. The BNI City Station ‘Lifestyle Sports Hub’ introduces a fresh concept that converts an existing transport facility into a vibrant destination for recreation and social activity. Featuring six indoor padel courts, modern facilities, and convenient access to multiple modes of public transport, the project responds to the rising demand for wellness-oriented spaces in Jakarta. It supports the city’s broader agenda to promote healthier lifestyles and more livable urban environments, while creating new opportunities for innovative, experience-based investment.
