At JIF Summit 2026, the Fireside Chat: Women in Leadership brought together three leaders to discuss their experiences, challenges, and perspectives on advancing women’s leadership.

The session featured:

Mrs. Sophie Freeland-Haynes, Country Director, Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, British Embassy Jakarta, who spoke about resilience, collaboration, and contributing to a purpose beyond personal achievement.

Mrs. Silvia Halim, Indonesia Country Leader, Arup, who highlighted the importance of purpose, public impact, and women’s perspectives in shaping infrastructure and urban development.

Mrs. Mercy Francisca Sinaga, Chairwoman of BritCham Indonesia and Director/Chief Legal & Government Relations Officer of PT Prudential Life Assurance Indonesia, who discussed the value of diverse leadership styles, transparent career pathways, mentoring, and sponsorship.

Moderated by Clara Bunga Persada, Partnership Lead, Pijar Foundation, the conversation also explored confidence, credibility, career advancement, and the role of inclusive workplaces in supporting women leaders.
