Jakarta Investment Festival (Summit) 2024 - Opening Ceremony

The Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) 2024, an annual investment and business forum organized by the Jakarta Investment Centre in collaboration with Bank Indonesia, carried the theme "Global City Notion for a Golden Nation." The last JIF series, JIF Summit, was officially held on September 6, 2024, at the St. Regis Hotel Jakarta. The event was opened by the Acting Governor of Jakarta, Mr. Heru Budi Hartono. During his speech, he emphasized the important role that Jakarta plays in attracting both local and international investors to support continued economic growth. Jakarta is now in transition toward becoming a global business hub, following the relocation of Indonesia's capital to Nusantara.

The summit also featured prominent figures such as Indonesia's Minister of Investment, Mr. Rosan Roeslani, who reaffirmed Jakarta's enduring economic significance despite the capital shift. Mr. Roeslani presented compelling statistics, noting Jakarta’s leading position as an investment magnet with $4.83 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) and 95.2 trillion rupiah in domestic investment in 2023. The city continues to attract substantial investments, having secured $3.4 billion USD in FDI and 69.3 trillion rupiah in domestic direct investment (DDI) in the first half of 2024, making it a pivotal player in Indonesia's economic landscape.

JIF 2024 showcased 35 high-potential investment projects with an estimated value of Rp.325 trillion, offering a platform for vibrant networking, insightful discussions, and strategic project exhibitions. The event successfully connected local and international investors with Jakarta’s lucrative business opportunities, underscoring its role as a key economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia.
