On Friday, March 22, 2024, Jakarta Investment Centre held a virtual meeting with Tomorrow.City, a digital platform to help advance the smart city by connecting cities with business entities. On this occasion, JIC and Tomorrow.City were exploring the vibrant potential of collaboration for the upcoming Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2024 in Hangzhou.

This meeting marks a step forward in our journey to foster inclusive and sustainable urban growth. Taking Urban Innovations as the main topic, the SCEWC 2024 aims to spotlight the transformative power of digitalization, address climate change, and pave the way for financing the sustainable transition. Last year, Jakarta participated in SCEWC 2023 Changsa Stage to present its urban digitalization development, represented by Jakarta Investment Centre (JIC) and Jakarta Smart City (JSC). With countries like the USA, Thailand, Spain, and other distinguished countries and cities  also joining the dialogue, Jakarta is set for a brainstorm of ideas and best practices.
