Jakarta, 20 May 2024 – Jakarta Investment Centre (JIC) held an introductory meeting with the Royal Thai Embassy to enhance investment relations and explore collaborative opportunities. The meeting aimed to introduce JIC as Jakarta's official investment promotion agency and attract Thai investors to the Indonesian capital.

The meeting brought together key representatives from both sides including the Economic Section of the Thailand Embassy, and the Investment Promotion Division of JIC . The discussion centered around exploring Thai investment interests to explore potential investment collaboration in Jakarta.

The Royal Thai Embassy highlighted the sectors where Thai investors have shown significant interest such as waste management, food and beverage, tourism, manufacturing, infrastructure, and medical tourism. The potential for collaboration was evident especially with the idea of establishing sister hospitals between Jakarta and Bangkok as one of Thailand's leading hospital, is currently exploring prospective partnerships in Jakarta and Surabaya.

This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening investment ties between Jakarta and Thailand with promising avenues for collaboration and mutual growth.
