Potential Collaboration between ŠKODA Group and Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta

As an official investment promotion agency under the Jakarta Provincial Government, JIC has a duty to support the private or public sector business mission agenda that is keen to explore both G2G and B2B projects in Jakarta.

Just recently, on March 5, we facilitated a business mission from Škoda-Group collaborating with the Embassy of the Czech Republic for Indonesia. This business mission was led by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Indonesia, Mr. Jaroslav Dolecek. This visit was received by the Assistant for Economy and Finance of the Regional Secretariat of DKI Jakarta Province, Ibu Sri Haryati; Head of Jakarta Regional Cooperation, Ibu Marulina Dewi; Head of JIC, Ibu Tona Hutauruk; and several representatives from Jakarta government agencies.

During this visit, Škoda-Group was represented by Mr. Petr Novotny, Škoda-Group Chairman & CEO; Mr. Antonio Alamar, Business Development Director; Mr. Vlastimil Vaclavik, Senior HR Manager; Mr. Tomas Povejsil, Executive Manager; and Mr. Sulaiman Saleh, Chairman of the Central European Committee in KADIN Indonesia. Škoda-Group is one of the leading transportation and infrastructure players in Europe and has also widely succeeded in expanding its business in Asia. Within this initiative, Škoda-Group plans to embark on new infrastructure and transportation projects in Indonesia, particularly in Jakarta. The first stage of this coordination meeting is to discuss Škoda-Group's objectives in finding business partners and bringing solutions for Jakarta's counterparties, particularly on the transportation and infrastructure sides.

Škoda-Group brings a comprehensive approach to transportation with their electric and ESG-focused solutions. They offer a wide range of options, from mainline rolling stock to digital services, to meet all the infrastructure and transportation needs.

Upon their interest, we invited several key stakeholders to join the discussion: the Director of Operations and Safety of PT Transjakarta, Bapak Daud Josep; the Director of PT MRT Jakarta, Bapak Tuhiyat; the President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, Bapak Hendri Saputra; and the Director of Business of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Bapak I Gede Adi Adnyana.

Moving forward, JIC will play a key role in bringing together DKI Jakarta's BUMD(s) and Škoda-Group for this potential collaboration.
