Potential Collaboration with China Zhejiang Construction Group Ltd.

On May 17, 2024, representatives from China Zhejiang Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. visited Jakarta Investment Centre to explore potential investment opportunities. The meeting was held at the DPMPTSP DKI Jakarta office, where representatives from both organizations discussed potential collaborations.

Operating in 30 countries, Zhejiang Construction Investment Group is a state-owned corporation specializing in infrastructure construction, with its headquarters located in Hangzhou, China. The company, founded in 1949, boasts assets worth over 10 billion RMB and employs around 10,000 people, ranking #150 among China’s top 500 companies. It is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has been actively involved in various high-profile projects worldwide including Indonesia under its subsidiary. Jakarta is expected to become the company’s next investment destination. 

During the meeting, JIC presented several potential investment projects from Jakarta’s regional-owned enterprises, highlighting opportunities for collaboration. The Zhejiang Construction Investment Group delegation expressed interest in these opportunities and will return to Jakarta  in the upcoming September  for further discussions.

This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening economic ties between Jakarta and one of China’s leading construction firms, potentially paving the way for substantial infrastructure investments in the region.
