Courtesy Meeting with US Embassy
As Indonesia celebrates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the US this year, it is an excellent opportunity for both countries to enhance cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations. On January 25th 2024, Jakarta Investment Centre (JIC) took this opportunity by conducting an introductory meeting with the Embassy of the United States in Indonesia to explore the potential investment sectors which US investors focused on as well as to cooperate in collaborative events.
On this occasion, the Embassy of the United States in Jakarta was represented by Mr. Marc Cook as Chief of Trade and Investment Unit and Mr. Benny Padilla as Macro and Infrastructure Officer, while JIC was represented by Mrs. Tona Hutauruk as the Head of JIC and the Promotion Unit team.
Mrs. Tona highlighted the discussion on promoting the Jakarta Investment projects to the US entities and developed a mutual partnership with the Embassy of the United States in Jakarta.
Furthermore, the Embassy of the United States in Jakarta pointed out about providing the opportunities for networking with the American business communities, such as the United States-ASEAN Business Council (US-BAC) and the American Chambers of Commerce (AmCham) Indonesia.
JIC has a strong commitment to attract more investment to Jakarta by promoting potential investment initiatives with many stakeholders.
