DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is offering investment in the transportation and infrastructure sector through Dubai Expo 2020 which will take place 15-16 March 2022.
"We aim to transform the city of Jakarta, which was previously known as a city with traffic jams, into a sustainable city," Anies said in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (16/3/2022) night.
Anies, who was present online, explained that Jakarta would continue to improve the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure through a number of potential investment projects.
"Integrated intermodal public transportation will improve connectivity and create a more comprehensive mobility roadmap throughout the city," said Anies.
Investors welcome the various infrastructure projects offered by DKI Jakarta through the world business forum.
As a follow-up, a number of meetings will be held between potential investors and Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) that own the project.
To support this, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Jakarta Investment Center Management Unit (JIC) of the DKI Jakarta One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP) will be the gateway for every investor interested in investing in Jakarta.
Head of DKI Jakarta Provincial DPMPTSP, Benni Aguscandra, added that JIC is also ready to provide all the information needed by potential investors so that the entire process runs efficiently and effectively.
The "Jakarta Business Forum" was held at the Indonesia Pavilion in the Expo 2020 Dubai event, which was attended by 192 countries.
"This is an opportunity for Jakarta to market investment and cooperation to potential investors from various parts of the world, especially the UAE," he added. (ATN)
