Working Meeting with the European Investment Bank (EIB), MRT Jakarta, Jakarta Provincial Government, May 2022

Following the Governor of Jakarta and the Jakarta delegation working visit to Europe, the Jakarta delegation got support from the European Investment Bank (EIB) regarding green, sustainable, safer public urban development of the City of Jakarta. EIB and MRT Jakarta sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a first step towards more concrete financial and technical support for the sustainable and green urban development of Jakarta. The MoU Signing between EIB and MRT Jakarta will cover the scope of support in ambitious climate action goals set by the Government of Indonesia to reduce GHG emissions by 41% within this decade. Not limited to that, the EIB also provides support in financing expansion by EIB for the urban rail system and urban regeneration of areas along the transport routes.
