JIC-The British Embassy Jakarta to continue on investment collaboration

JAKARTA (22/6) - The British Embassy Jakarta visited Jakarta Investment Centre (JIC) on Wednesday, 22 June 2022, to introduce the New Head of Second Cities, Network, and Strategy for the next four years. In this excellent opportunity, both parties conveyed their enthusiasm to continue on strengthening investment collaboration between Jakarta and the United Kingdom (UK) onwards.
The British Embassy Jakarta and the Jakarta Capital City Government has established a good relationship in several sectors such as trade, economy and investment, also education and program development. The team also played a pivotal role in Jakarta’s Governor Working Visit to London and strengthened the relationship between the UK and Jakarta.
Jakarta is looking forward to nourishing this partnership with potential investment collaboration in the near future. This includes potential partnership with the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) and several UK financial institutions as sustainable transportation development has been one of the strongest points from both parties to contribute in a joint effort in achieving the global Net Zero Emissions goal by 2050.
